My laptop broke somehow 😒 so I’m bummed I can’t type up posts on there. I so hope it can be fixed. My pictures!!!

Z turned one. We are lame and did absolutely nothing for his birthday since we had the joint party for him and T in October. Bless his heart. He’s 54 weeks now and has already cut 3 of his 2 year molars. They have been sheer misery coming in but only 1 more to go! Poor baby with his swollen sore gums. 😩 He’s been waking at night and needing snuggles to fall asleep again a few nights a week now. This morning he woke up in my bed and was all smiles. 😊 He kept laying his fuzzy little head on DH’s chest and smiling. Z is about to need a haircut soon already. His hair is so soft and fuzzy. I love to feel his little head against my cheek.

We had a great Thanksgiving. We saw DH’s family on the day and my extended family on Saturday. Tomorrow we plan to have a small dinner with my parents. My brother is home visiting after being gone 6 months. We don’t know how long he will be here before he leaves again, so we are trying to have some time with him.

My sister S is also home after being gone on a 5 month international trip. She’s watched the boys for us twice since she came home so we could go out on a date. I can’t tell you how nice it was to have someone we trust to watch the boys! We had only had 1 quick date in the last 5 months. So happy to get to spend time with her again too. It’s hard being apart from siblings!! I’ve always been close with my sisters, so having them gone is like having a huge part of my life missing. I’ve totally enjoyed getting to catch up again. 😊❀️

I started doing yoga almost a month ago. I love it! I have been serious about doing some form of exercise almost daily this month. Either yoga, ab workouts or elliptical. Sometimes all three. Unfortunately, the scale hasn’t reflected my efforts or diet changes, yet. I’m trying not to get discouraged though. I FEEL stronger, that’s what matters. ❀️

And, since Z weaned (officially nursed for the last time on his birthday, but had been nursing only a few times in the previous month) I have had 2 almost normal cycles! Ovulation had been getting later and later and I was really struggling with frustration about pcos. Hopefully I’m on a good track now! I’m also taking Berberine and Myo/D-Chiro Inositol. I don’t really think it’s made a huge change except that my hair and nails seem healthier. Could be a coincidence though. I’m going to keep taking it for a bit longer to see if I notice anything else. πŸ™‚

Speaking of hair, I got my hair done today with refreshed highlights and some lowlights. It feels like a good pick-me-up now that the weather is so cold and blah. I also went shopping with my sister M to find some snow pants for T. We’ve had snow the last few days and the boys are super excited to be out there playing!

I got some great cyber Monday deals on kids clothes! I also got most of my Christmas shopping done for our extended family. Yay!! I’m excited about a lot of the gifts because I feel like I found stuff they actually want/need. T and L both want a remote control dinosaur (or as they call it, a “motion trol dinosaur”, or just “trol dinosaur”). πŸ˜‚ I’m really struggling to find it though because they were wiped out at the store and I couldn’t find the right one online. Hopefully I can find it though because they’ve talked about it for weeks! 😬

DH took the week off to enjoy some time going hunting. He got a buck this week, so our freezer will be restocked for the year. πŸ™‚ He stayed home with the boys the other day while I went grocery shopping. I came home to find them huddled around a pretend campfire (toy logs in a plastic bed riser)🀣, with a blanket fort that spanned the entire family room and used all the kitchen chairs and almost every blanket in the house. (I wish I had a picture!) They were roasting fake marshmallows on colored pencils over their *fire* and this is almost certainly going to go down as T and L’s favorite memory of 2018. πŸ˜† Never underestimate the simple things in the life of your child!

T and L have been busy working on all the little things kids their ages love. πŸ˜‰ Building blanket forts all over creation, coloring, and playing LOTS of make believe games. Particularly ninja turtles and dinosaurs. πŸ™‚ I keep thinking that I should post some of the cute/funny things they say, but I always forget before I get a chance to write it down! Here’s a funny one from today though… We were talking about who was born first in my extended family and T asked me “Mommy, who pooped out Papa and Grandmom?” (Meaning, who are their parents.) πŸ˜‚ Then Levi chimed in “Who pooped out PapPap?” Sometimes I just can’t even!! Rest assured, I explained which great-grandma brought each grandparent into the world, in a much more respectful way. But hey, kids tell it like it is. 🀣

We all had a cold last week but we are better now. We started taking elderberry syrup to see if we can stay healthy this winter. Here’s hoping!!

What has everyone else been doing?
